Women’s Wilderness Adventures – 2026
Step away from the everyday and step into the wild.
Women’s Wilderness Adventures are two-day weekends for women who want to connect, challenge
themselves, and recharge in nature.

Small, intimate, and supportive, these weekends combine
adventure, skill-building, and reflection in a safe, empowering environment.

Whether new to the outdoors or a seasoned explorer, these weekends leave participants refreshed,
confident, and inspired — with new skills, new friendships, and memories that last.

Finalist – 2026 Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards
Recognised for creating transformative, empowering experiences for women in nature.

What Happens on a Weekends
Over two transformative days on the River Wye, participants experience:

Paddleboarding & river adventures – navigate the river, feel the flow beneath the board, and enjoy the calm of nature from the water.

Bushcraft & fire skills – build fires, learn knife skills and learn survival techniques that build confidence and self-reliance.

Campfire cooking & shared meals – gather around the fire for nourishing outdoor meals and
laughter with new friends.

Guided mindfulness & reflection – pause, breathe, and connect through sharing circles and
reflective exercises.

Optional wild swims & river dips – refresh body and mind in invigorating water
Evening campfire stories & connection – unwind under the stars, share stories, and feel the
warmth of community.

All activities are guided by experienced female instructors, including Rose, Louise Lupo (RAF
instructor), and Annabel (mountaineer & athlete).

Together they create a space where women can
learn, explore, and grow safely while having fun and laughter along the way.

2025

“I’ve spent the last three years with Rose as part of Wye Knot Community’s Women’s Wilderness Empowerment, taking part in weekends and retreats around the world. I can honestly say these experiences have changed my life.

I used to focus on how I looked—on appearances and perfection. Now I focus on what’s inside.

How I feel.

How strong I am.

And what I’m capable of.

I’ve learned that I can step into the outdoors, survive, and thrive. I now travel on my own—something I never believed I could do.

Thank you, Wye Knot Community, for giving me the courage and strength to step into the world with confidence. I feel empowered, capable, and proud to call myself a powerful woman.”

🌟 Finalists – Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards

We’re incredibly proud to share that Wye Knot Community’s Women’s Wilderness Weekends have been named finalists in the Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards.

These weekends were created as a space for women to step away from everyday life and reconnect — with nature, with their bodies, and with each other. Through river journeys, wild camping, fire-light conversations and shared challenge, they’ve become something far deeper than an adventure: a place for confidence, healing, laughter and strength to grow.

To have this work recognised at a county level means so much. It celebrates not just tourism, but inclusive, meaningful experiences that centre wellbeing, courage and community in the outdoors.

Thank you to every woman who has trusted us with her journey — this finalist place is yours too 💛
