Meet Your Wild Women Guides
Rose Sales – Founder & Team Leader
Rose is the heart and soul of Wye Knot Women. With a background in community work, movement therapy, and inclusive outdoor programming, she has spent years helping people reconnect with nature and each other. She’s a certified Forest School Leader, Paddleboard and Canoe Coach, and is currently completing her Mountain Leader training. Rose is the visionary behind these weekends—a calm, grounded presence who believes every woman deserves a place in the wild.
She’s the backbone of this experience—and you’ll feel that steady support from the moment you arrive.
Louise Lupo – Senior Outdoor Instructor
With 24 years in the RAF as a Physical Training Instructor specialising in Adventurous Training, Lou is one of the most experienced outdoor women in the UK. She’s climbed volcanoes in Chile, led canoe expeditions in Sweden, and trained countless men and women in survival, climbing, kayaking, and more. Lou brings fierce skill, endless encouragement, and a belief that there is nothing you can’t do—with the right support and a bit of mud under your boots.
Annabel – Emerging Leader & Mountaineer
A former GB rowing athlete, Annabel brings a powerful mix of focus, adventure, and warmth. She’s hiked to Everest Base Camp, is training for Mont Blanc, and is preparing for her first 6,000m peak in 2026. She’s also the eye behind the lens—capturing each weekend’s magic through photography and video. Why We’re Different
This isn’t about squeezing people onto a campsite. It’s about intimate, meaningful, life-changing adventure.
We keep group sizes small (max 10 women) so you get real guidance, real connection, and real moments that stay with you long after the weekend ends.
You’ll always have at least two of our core coaches present, ensuring personal support, safety, and inspiration at every step.
Public & Private Weekends
While our Women’s Wilderness Weekends are open to the public, we also offer private events tailored to the needs of welfare groups, corporations, and team-building sessions. These private weekends are designed to foster teamwork, resilience, and personal growth within your team, group, or organization.
Private weekends include:
-
Customised activities tailored to your group’s goals
-
Team-building challenges designed to build trust and communication
-
Focus on mental and physical wellness, leadership, and empowerment
-
Support and guidance from our expert outdoor leaders
Whether you’re a corporate team looking to bond, a welfare group seeking empowerment through nature, or a group of friends wanting a transformative weekend, we will create an experience that meets your specific needs.
